President’s Award – A Tribute to Cesare Robello
It is special for me to help recognize Dr. Cesare Robello from Genoa, Italy who has received the President’s Award from The Academy of R.V. Tucker Study Clubs. It was presented at the annual meeting held in Vancouver BC.
He is honored for his dedication to teaching and for his practice of excellence in restorative dentistry. Besides
a full time practice he has just finished a two year term as President
of the Italian Dental Congress; which compares to The American Dental
Association in the United States. He was president of the Tucker Study Club Academyin years 1998 and 1999 and presided in hosting this Academy for a most memorable meeting in Saluzzo, Italy.
Cesare is seen in Chicago nearly every year as a member of the Academy ofOperative Dentistry, Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Academy of Gold Foil; and has presented to all of these groups.
I am particularly pleased to say a few words on Dr. Robello’s behalf, because he was the first to recruit me to come to Italy for lectures and presentations more than twenty five years ago. It
started a wonderful relationship for me and subsequently as he and
others organized the Italian Study Club #18, hundreds of Canadians, US
and German Study Club members have enjoyed a special comrade with the
members who teach and practice all over Italy. Dr. Robello, who was the chief organizer of the study club in Italy, also stands out as one of the most outstanding dentists in the country. He has written numerous papers and has done many presentations. He is long timed married to Federica, and has three sons who are real achievers. He is a sailor of some renown and enjoys the slopes when he has time for skiing.
I am proud to consider him a good friend as he is to all who know him and am pleased that he received this recognition.
